Recognition & Reward: Overlooked Strategies That Improve Morale, Productivity and Retention

Duration: 60 minutes

According to Gallup research, 70% of employees surveyed feel they aren’t given adequate recognition or praise for a job well done. That’s unfortunate because effective reward and recognition can dramatically boost employee engagement, productivity and retention. If you’re looking for ideas, this webinar will give you an overview of how to make recognition part of your culture and keep employees motivated for little or no incremental cost. WHY ATTEND

In the battle to attract and retain top talent, organizations go to great lengths to separate themselves from the pack. They pile on the benefits, offer flexible hours, telecommuting and extra perks like ping pong tables and comfortable lounge areas.

But many are missing what employees most value: recognition. Research shows that recognition and reward is the single thing that makes employees feel valued, more engaged in their jobs and far less likely to jump ship for another job -- and yet too many organizations don’t know how to make it happen.

In this session, Valerie Grubb will lay out the most common mistakes companies make with employee recognition. She’ll give you a blueprint for creating a recognition program that’s aligned with your company goals and in sync with the needs of today’s workforce.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Topics to be covered include:

  • Five killer mistakes companies make in recognition programs – and why they make them
